Electric blues club was built in rooms which for nearly a hundred years housed a boiler room that heated the great edifice. This space turned out to be ideal for the needs of a large music club, although adapting it was quite a challenge and required a lot of courage.
Thousands of concerts have already taken place here, and the performers include almost all Polish jazzmen and foreign celebrities, including Kenny Garrett, Dave Holland, Brad Mehldau, Richard Galliano, Christian McBride, Kurt Elling, Ravi Coltrane, Al Foster, Dave Liebman, John Abercrombie, Eddie Henderson, Randy Brecker, Mike Stern, Dave Douglas, Scott Henderson, John Scofield, Pat Metheny, David Murray, Joey de Francesco, Billy Harper, Ernie Watts, Jack DeJohnette, E.S.T. Trio, Yellowjackets, Jeff Ballard, Chico Freeman, James Carter, Buster Williams, Cindy Blackman Santana
Blue Note, following the principle of an “open club”, also presents valuable performers from other musical circles such as: blues, soul, flamenco, acid jazz, stand up – they have performed here, among others: Huun Huur Tu, Septeto National, Zion Train, Joe Bonamassa, Rafael Cortes, Kroke and many, many others.
