imageJazz and blues music have been linked for many years at festivals, clubs and events worldwide. From the everlasting traditional jazz legends to more modern jazz fusion, its format has grown and changed with the times influencing new and old songs alike. Singers like Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Nina Simone are still popular today and there are clubs all over the UK where the Jazz afficianado can jam or just listen to great live jazz music.

The term 'Scat' which means 'to improvise' probably originated with Jazz music as it often employs complex patterns and rhythms with virtually any instrument taking the solo whilst the rest of the musicians interweave patterns around them. This page is dedicated to listing jazz information, jazz festivals, radio stations, books, sounds and stuff for jazz lovers and for those who would like to learn to play jazz there are some handy links to online Jazz classes and lessons.
